BTS Achieves Yet Another Music Video Milestone

It’s the group’s second such accomplishment this month.

International sensation BTS achieved yet another milestone with the music video for their smash hit “Boy With Love (Feat. Halsey).”

The music video for the title track of their 2019 mini-album MAP OF THE SOUL: PERSONA broke 800 million views on the morning of June 4, KST, becoming their fastest music video to reach such a count.

The music video won the award for “Best Music Video” at the 2019 Mnet Asian Music (MAMA) Awards. It also received several other nominations in the same category at other award shows, with one result still pending.

The song achieved an “all-kill” on Korean music charts while also debuting and ultimately peaking at #8 on the Billboard Hot 100, marking their second time on that chart after “Fake Love.” “Boy With Love (Feat. Halsey)” was later certified platinum by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA) and the Korean Music Content Association (KMCA) for achieving selling over one million units and having over one million streams, respectively.

“Boy With Love (Feat. Halsey)” surpasses the 600 million views of “FIRE,” “MIC Drop,” and “IDOL” and becomes their second most viewed music video behind “DNA,” which reached the 1 billion views mark this month. It brings the group’s total view count for all official music videos to over 23 billion.

Congrats to BTS on yet another landmark achievement, and here’s to many more!
