BTS Breaks The Record For Most Albums Sold In 1 Week

BTS have broken their own record for most albums sold in 1 week with their latest album LOVE YOURSELF 轉 ‘Tear‘.

Hanteo, which monitors real-time album sales, have stated that BTS sold a total of 1,003,524 copies in its first week as of May 25.

The previous record was held by BTS’ album LOVE YOURSELF 承 ‘Her‘ with 759,263 copies sold.

With this, BTS have also become double million sellers on Hanteo, as LOVE YOURSELF 承 ‘Her‘ sold its 1 millionth copy on December 12.

LOVE YOURSELF 轉 ‘Tear‘ also holds the record for most pre-orders, with 1,502,552 copies being ordered by fans and merchants.

The difference between pre-orders and sales is that pre-orders counts copies that have been purchased by retailers, but not yet sold to customers. Sales only counts copies that have been purchased by people.

BTS’ comeback show just aired yesterday, May 24, and they will be making their return to Korean music shows starting today, May 25 on Music Bank, followed by Music Core on May 26 and Inkigayo on May 27.
