BTS Confirms They Will Not Be Attending The 2022 Billboard Music Awards

With the 2022 Billboard Music Awards just a week away, it has been confirmed that K-Pop idol group BTS will not be attending the ceremony. The Billboard Awards is considered one of the three major award ceremonies in the American pop music scene.

BTS won the Top Social Artist award at the 2017 Billboard Awards and have won this award for five consecutive years. According to the list of nominees announced by the award ceremony organizer, BTS has also been nominated for Top Duo/Group, Top Song Sales Artist, Top Billboard Global Artist/Excluding USA, Top Selling Song, Top Billboard Global Song/Excluding USA, and Top Rock Song.

Last year, BTS recorded a total of 12 weeks at number one on the Billboard Hot 100 chart with their song, “Butter”. If they win an award, it has been revealed that they will send their acceptance speech through a video. On the other hand, BTS have recently dropped content for their new album, PROOF, which will release on June 10.
