BTS’s V Congratulates Director Bong Joon Ho On His Award At The Oscars

Congrats to Bong Joon Ho and the crew!

It was a historic moment for the Korean film industry as director Bong Joon Ho took home four trophies at the 2020 Oscars. The movie Parasite took home a total of four awards including Best Director, Best Original Screenplay, Best International Film, and Best Picture.

This is special because it is the first time a foreign-language film has ever been awarded Best Picture at the Oscars.

Many celebrities were seen congratulating Bong and the team for their glorious win. Among them was Korean boy group BTS.

Member V posted a message through Twitter that read, “We really really really really really congratulate you on your win director Bong Joon Ho #wesawwoosikcrying”

It is known that actor Choi Woo Shik is also good friends with member V and photos of the two of them were also recently posted on BTS’s Twitter account.

As with all success, criticism and backlash is bound to happen. Despite the criticism for Bong’s win, many celebrities and fans around the world have come to defend the team and have shown that truly good movies deserve to be credited regardless of background.

Congratulations once again to Bong Joon Ho and the cast and crew for their win!
