BTS Becomes The First K-Pop Group To Be Certified Gold With “MIC Drop Remix”

It all happened within a short span of 3 months!

BTS’s “MIC Drop Remix” with Steve Aoki and Desiigner has been certified gold by the Recording Industry Association of America (RIAA)!

That means the track recorded more than 500,000 units!

The award includes downloads and on-demand music streams with 150 on-demand audio and/or video song streams counted as the equivalence of one download sale (unit).

And they did it all within a short period of 3 months.

BTS is the first K-Pop group to achieve this feat with PSY being the first Korean artist to do so with “Gangnam Style” in 2012.

Rapper Desiigner dropped the news with a photo of their new gold disc.
