BTS’s Jimin Receives Support From His “Appendicitis Sunbae” Suga

Suga knows how rough appendicitis is firsthand.

BTS‘s Jimin and Suga may have debuted at the same time, but Suga has now become Jimin’s sunbae (senior)!

Jimin was recently diagnosed with COVID-19, and he had surgery for acute appendicitis on January 31. On February 2, he updated fans on his condition via Weverse.

Everyone, were you all really worried? I am recovering well!😊

— Jimin

Later, he posted another update with a bit more information about his condition.

Sorry for making everyone worry.

But
I think I’ll be going home soon!
I’ve been recovering well
and eating all three meals a day, too. ☺️
Please hang in there,
I’ll be better and on my way to you in no time!

— Jimin

On February 4, Suga commented on Jimin’s first update.

As an acute appendicitis sunbae, I understand.

— Suga

Suga had his appendix removed during BTS’s rookie days. He started suffering from severe stomach pains while the group was promoting in Japan, and he flew back to Korea to have his appendix removed after finding out he had appendicitis.

As Jimin’s appendicitis sunbae, Suga definitely understands what Jimin is going through. We’re glad he and the other members are supporting Jimin through this rough time, and we hope Jimin fully recovers quickly!
