Ahead of his enlistment, BIGHIT MUSIC made a public announcement to fans that there would be no official event for his send-off out of respect for the entrance ceremony and his 200 fellow recruits and their families.

Hello,
This is BIGHIT MUSIC.

We want to thank you for your continued support of BTS and would like to update you on Jin’s upcoming enlistment into the military.

Jin will fulfill his required time with the military by enlisting in the army. Please note that we will not be holding any kind of official event on the day of his recruitment.

The entrance ceremony is a time to be observed by military personnel and their families only. In order to prevent any issues that might occur from crowding, we ask fans to please refrain from visiting the site. Instead, we ask you to keep your heartwarming words of support and farewell in your hearts.

We also advise you not to get adversely affected by purchasing unauthorized tours or product packages illegally using artist IP. Our company will take necessary action against any attempts at commercial activity making unauthorized use of such IP.

We ask for your continued love and support for Jin until he finishes his military service and comes back. Our company will also strive to provide every support he needs during this time.

Thank you.

Fans and media were asked to refrain from visiting the site of the entrance ceremony for the same reason and were instead requested to show their continued support off-site.

ARMYs have been showering Jin with support on social media, trending multiple hashtags to see the global idol off in their own way.

His fellow BTS members have also been showing their love in their own unique way. It’s reported that all seven members are currently in Korea, with BTS’s V arriving at Incheon Airport after international schedules, just in time to say goodbye to his oldest hyung before his enlistment.

As for BTS’s hilarious and witty oldest member, Jin has been slowly and beautifully saying “goodbye for now” to ARMYs. He released a farewell song, “The Astronaut,” declaring his love and appreciation for fans.

He also filmed multiple variety shows and original content videos, each entertaining and comical to keep a smile on fans’ faces as they watched.

He kept up the lighthearted and charming “farewell” with his latest message to ARMYs on Weverse before his enlistment.

As fans eagerly awaited what Jin might say, he didn’t disappoint as he showcased his lovable humor and quoted the League of Legends character, Jhin.

In comedic Jin fashion, he began his Weverse post by saying, “This is your curtain call.,” a reference to the League of Legends character’s trademark ability, “Curtain Call.”

The post left a large blank space, causing ARMYs to scroll before they could read the end of the message, which said, “(I wanted to try saying this when I leave for the military.) (This is what game character “Jhin” says).”
