Here’s The Inclusive Reason BTS’s Jungkook Designed Hoodies For His Collection
BTS‘s Jungkook is the last member to dive into the details of his HYBE Artist-Made Collection by explaining the thoughts behind his pieces, including what inspired him to create a hoodie.
With MC V by his side, Jungkook revealed that he stepped out of his comfort zone “to kind of try something new” but made sure it wasn’t “too challenging.” He chose a hoodie as the perfect balance and explained why it was the best option.
A hoodie is such a wearable item that anyone could put one on and feel comfortable, which was his ultimate goal. Jungkook made sure all ARMYs would feel included by saying, “After all, I’d like to see it worn by people of all shapes and sizes.”
Jungkook’s goal of inclusivity showed in the hoodie’s fit and why he decided against one that was fitted. He added, “That’s why I designed it to be loose-fitting.”
Keeping different body types in mind, Jungkook paid close attention to the small details that made a huge difference. He made sure the batwing sleeves were roomy, the waist was “slightly tapered” for shape, the sleeves were super long, and the shoulder seams weren’t “too high up.”
Every step of the way, Jungkook made sure anyone who wanted to wear the item would be able to.
