Although he joked he wasn’t going to do it, after weeks of waiting, it seems like everyone’s wish has been answered.

On June 9, netizens couldn’t hide their excitement when SEVENTEEN posted a video with Mingyu and Jungkook together. In the opening moments, the two had a hilarious skit where Mingyu explained that he should’ve contacted Jungkook earlier as he thanked his sunbaenim for taking part.

After Jungkook said he’d try his best, the two got into the challenge, and considering how talented they were, it wasn’t surprising how amazing the video was.

At the end of the video, the camera zoomed into the two friends, and it was definitely a visual explosion.

In less than an hour, the video had been watched on TikTok over one million times, with hundreds of thousands of likes. In the comments, netizens couldn’t get over the friendship between the two stars and how talented they are. Even on other platforms, everyone was obsessed with the video.

Some even shared that it was Jungkook’s first time doing any sort of TikTok challenge with an idol that isn’t a BTS member.

After the video was posted, Mingyu even shared some TMI on the video.

On Weverse, the idol explained that he didn’t meet with Jungkook for the sole reason of doing the challenge, but they just happened to do it. He also pointed out that he was wearing slippers but didn’t have them in the video.

I didn’t meet up with him (Jungkook) to film the challenge. We just met up, so I figured that we should just film it. I wore slippers, but I wouldn’t dare to wear it (slippers) when filming with sunbaenim.
