How BTS's Jungkook Had His Head Shaved — Fulfills His Promise To ARMYs

BTS‘s Jungkook officially enlisted in the military, and his hair transformation has netizens emotional.

After only giving glimpses of his shaved head, V hilariously exposed it on Instagram.

On December 12, Jimin and Jungkook enlisted and the BTS X account shared photos with Suga and J-Hope.

After Jungkook enlisted, his brother shared an emotional picture on his Instagram of the idol shaving his hair. In the caption, he explained how seeing it happen transported him back ten years (assuming to when he enlisted) as he wished Jungkook well.

While it was emotional enough, it also seemed to be the final stage of Jungkook’s emotional promise he kept for ARMYs about his hair. Back in May, Jungkook was preparing fans for his enlistment and that he would change his hair to make it less shocking.

Rather than cutting all my hair suddenly, I will gradually cut it shorter and shorter. It’s called hair-lighting (play on words from gaslighting), and I will keep cutting my hair shorter until you guys all of a sudden ask, What, when did his hair become so short? When did he buzz his hair? And so I will make it so that (my short haircut) feels natural.

He seemed to stick to this promise, and as he did new broadcasts for fans, ARMYs noticed his hair getting shorter.

When netizens looked through Jungkook’s live broadcasts, they shared how they noticed that the idol had stuck to his promise. After each live, Jungkook’s hair got shorter. While it didn’t stop the shock from his shaved head, it showcased his love for ARMYs.

Jungkook always takes matters into his own hands, including shaving his own head, while keeping his promise to fans that he would try to make the process easier.
