BTS’s Jungkook Sparks Backlash After Reposting “Half-Naked” Video
BTS‘s Jungkook has been super active on social media since the group returned with their latest studio album Arirang. But his most recent Instagram activity has stirred up serious controversy.

He reposted a dancer’s video covering the choreography for “Hooligan” off the new album. The dance itself is impressive, so much so that Jungkook noticed it. The video sits at over 800,000 views but under 15,000 likes. The problem, according to some fans, is what she was wearing.

ARMYs slammed the dancer’s outfit for being too revealing, bombarding her post with comments about her outfit. The hate even spread on X (formerly Twitter). It got so heated that the dancer even addressed the situation herself.

Jungkook reposted me, and now I’m in the middle of a hate comment party because of it…. I guess I should just enjoy it? ^^..

Jungkook is also being called out, with many netizens arguing he shouldn’t be reposting content from regular creators when he knows exactly what his fanbase is capable of. Several viral posts accused him of enabling harassment while women take the fall for it.
this is probably the 100th girl who has been a victim of harassment caused by jungkook’s actions. pic.twitter.com/2cFhS80xNx

something so sinister about how he’s chronically online and sees what his parasocial behavior led to yet still lets women take the blame 💀 https://t.co/vSRZ30ir46

However, many have defended the idol, saying he is not responsible for his fans’ actions and that by sharing their videos, Jungkook is helping boost visibility for smaller creators.
Jungkook is perfectly fine reposting and liking all the videos of people dancing or singing ARIRANG songs; it's not synonymous with harassment. If you interpret it that way because you have a disgusting mind, that's not Jungkook's problem. 🖕🏼
