BTS’s Jungkook Discusses The Meaning Of “Stay” And Its Unique Unit
At the BTS Global Press Conference “BE”, Jungkook discussed the seventh track on BTS‘s new BE album, “Stay”.
“Stay” is a bright, energetic track co-written by its three performers (Jungkook, Jin, and RM) and Arston, a Belarusian DJ.
Together this vocal-rap unit created a brand new listening experience for fans.
It’s a unit song with me, RM, and Jin. So, this unit is probably the first time we’re doing this. I think it created a song with a very unique color that we haven’t seen before. “Stay” is kind of a song that is fun but also very emotional.
In addition to “Stay’s” sound, Jungkook also explained what the song means. Like the rest of BE‘s tracks, it was partly inspired by the 2020 COVID-19 pandemic.
So, what does this song mean? I think we are far apart physically, but we always stay together. That’s the message that I wanted to put into this song, that we wanted to put into this song. It’s a fun song, so I hope you look forward to it.
“Stay” is a beautiful reminder that although BTS and ARMY can’t meet in person right now, they are, and will always, be together. Listen to it here:
