BTS Makes History Topping The IFPI Global Album Sales Chart
With not one, but TWO albums!

BTS is the first act in history to have two albums hold the top 2 spots on IFPI‘s Global Album Sales chart in the same year.
BTS took #1 with MAP OF THE SOUL : 7 and #2 with BE (Deluxe Edition). MAP OF THE SOUL : 7 THE JOURNEY came in at #8.
The group is the second act since Michael Jackson in 2009 to rank 3 albums in the top 10 Global Album Sales chart.
BE (Deluxe Edition) also made an appearance on IFPI’s Global Album All Format chart at #4, with MAP OF THE SOUL : 7 taking #1, breaking the all time sales record in Korea. The latter album made a total 6 appearances on IFPI’s global charts for 2020, being the most pre-ordered album of all time and charting as #1 in over 20 countries.
