BTS Reveal The Obstacles They Faced As Complete Strangers Before They Grew Into Brothers Closer Than Family

Before they were brothers, they were complete strangers.

BTS may now be the closest bunch of 7 brothers who can’t even bare being apart for mere hours, but before they became brothers, they were complete strangers.

The members all met each other for the first time just a little under a decade ago when they were recruited as trainees under BigHit Entertainment. They each came from such diverse backgrounds and conflicts naturally arose between each other.

J-Hope confessed that they used to fight a lot back when they first started because of their differences. But they were able to overcome it by openly communicating with each other!

There was a time when we fought each other quite a bit because we all came from different backgrounds and our personalities were so different.

But we were able to overcome that after frequently talking to each other and living together for a long time. We now know what each of us are thinking just by looking at each other.

— J-Hope

Jimin agreed that it was initially hard to understand each members’ differences but that didn’t mean they were going to give up on the group! They worked so hard and eventually grew a bond that was irreplaceable.

Because each member was so different, I think it was hard for everyone to understand each other. But we didn’t give up, and now we are a team where each member is irreplaceable.

— Jimin

Through the years of fighting, learning, and understanding, they each matured into men by depending and learning from one another. Jungkook revealed a valuable lesson he learned by growing up under his 6 BTS brothers.

When something I said or did caused an issue or made people feel disappointed, I realized that I should think twice before I do anything, and not forget where I am, no matter what situation I may be in.

— Jungkook

Suga added that although they may still bicker about their differences, they’re all good experiences that turn into fond memories.

Seven men with different values living together was not easy. It was difficult for all of us to focus our thoughts on one single point, but looking back, they are all good memories.

— Suga

RM summarized it perfectly by explaining that they’re 7 different grown men who work together and live together, but they continue to work on their relationship through love and care for each other!

Seven grown men always staying close together and experiencing work and life at the same time means that we come face to face with numerous contradictions and differences.

But I think we overcame that by working on understanding and caring for each other over time.

— RM
