During the press conference, the director of Korea National Opera, Choi Sang Ho, revealed that he had wanted to cast a “well-known musician” for one of the main characters, Puck, in the opera.

While considering who to cast, the team had initially considered BTS’s leader, RM, for the role.

Conversations about the possible casting of RM halted when the team learned of his military enlistment.

Instead, the role went to veteran actor and Shinhwa member Kim Dong Wan. While the crew was discussing their consideration of BTS’s RM for the role of Puck, Kim Dong Wan playfully replied, “I’m grateful that the production team chose me over RM after much deliberation.
