The trainee, known online as “King Kong Tae,” had been posting a series of memories from their military training period, including moments where V reportedly helped fellow trainees, gifted Korean beef after hard training, and took on leadership roles like platoon leader.

He also described V as kind, playful, and naturally generous, adding that he often guided others in a positive direction during their time together.

BTS V’s Military Story Goes Viral After Former Campmate Shares New Details

As the posts started gaining attention, the former trainee later announced he would stop sharing further stories. He explained that while he had considered posting them for around two years, some people felt the remaining details should be shared directly by V when he is ready. Respecting that view, he decided to wrap up his updates.

There were a lot of people who felt that the rest of the story should be told directly by Taehyung hyung himself when he’s ready, so I’ve decided to wrap things up as of today.

I spent two years thinking about whether to make these videos, and after those two years, I finally decided to share the stories.

I believe that one day the BTS members will get together and talk about their military experiences themselves.

However, before stepping away, V himself clarified his stance on the “exposed” stories. He said he didn’t mind!

Yah, you should tell more of them. They’re fun to hear. I don’t even remember most of it myself.

Now that it’s clear V also wants to hear the service stories — some of which even he can’t remember — it seems like more will come forth from King Kong Tae!
