We all know BTS‘s “Butter” is a bop.
And the latest “Butter” fan is none other than the American Butter Institute!
In an interview with Billboard, Alan Bjerga, Chief of Communications for the American Butter Institute discussed BTS’s chart-topping song.
Bjerga stated he first became aware of the song about a week or two after BTS released it.
My main reaction was ‘Great!’ It obviously doesn’t hurt to have your product associated with the top band’s song of the summer.
Bjerga pointed out the great timing of “Butter” and revealed that butter has gotten more popular over the last decade. “Like BTS says, ‘it’s smooth,'” he said.
During the interview, Bjerga compared BTS to iconic ’90s boy bands like *NSYNC and the Backstreet Boys. He said BTS brings the best of the boy band tradition into a global context in an incredibly exciting way.
