BTS’s Love Myself Campaign Reaches $1 Million In Donations

Way to go, ARMYs!

BTS, along with agency Big Hit Entertainment, kicked off the “Love Myself” campaign in November 2017 and has since then collected over one million US dollars for the cause!

The campaign started with BTS’ $500K donation to “join hands with the United Nations Children’s Fund (UNICEF) to stage campaigns against violence toward children and teens around the world, with the hope of making the world a better place through music.” BTS’ fans, also known as ARMYs, eagerly participated and pitched in donations, blowing up the number to over $1M in just six months!

The current total is $1,034,915.93 USD using the current exchange rate.

The funds will be used to support UNICEF’s worldwide campaigns to stop child and adolescent violence for two years. The official campaign Twitter account thanked the ARMYs from all over the world for making this possible.

This is not the first time ARMYs came together to support a good cause. For example, BTS fans from Thailand have started a blood drive, in celebration of BTS’ 5th debut anniversary. The donations have reached 20,000 cc (or 20 liters) of blood, enough to save over 1,500 lives.

BTS fans are proud to be a part of the BTS boys’ effort to have a positive influence in the world. Both Korean and global fans thank BTS for inspiring them and giving them the chance to contribute, and look forward to more ways they can collectively help to make the world a better place!

Well done, BTS and ARMYs!
