On November 2, TV Report released an article in which they claimed that designer brands that have aligned themselves with Lisa’s brand have been deleting photos of the idol.

According to the report, the CEO of BVLGARI has deleted pictures of himself and Lisa. Additional reports state that CELINE and BVLGARI accounts in China have hid or deleted all posts of Lisa.

TV Report suggests that this might be due to Chinese sentiment towards Lisa. As per the report, Lisa is facing a massive backlash due to her burlesque performance, and the Chinese market makes up over 20% of luxury goods sales internationally. The report states that this may be the reason why designer brands are allegedly distancing themselves from Lisa.

Fans should keep in mind, however, that it simply may be because her contracts with brands are nearing an end, which is more than a possibility since her contract with YG Entertainment has ended. Also worth noting is that BVLGARI is part of LVMH, which is owned by the family of Lisa’s reported boyfriend, FrédéricArnault.

Meanwhile, it was reported that Lisa’s Weibo account had been terminated in the wake of the performance. Several prominent Chinese celebrities are also said to be facing consequences for attending the performance.
