Ceci Magazine Votes On The Most Influential Korean Celebrity Of 2017

CéCi magazine has revealed their picks for 2017’s person of the year, having voted on the most influential celebrity of 2017.

The list included personalities who were part of hot issues in 2017 and who received the most love this year.

Moon Jae In held, for Korea, a progressive stance on LGBT issues during the election.

The number one spot was taken by president Moon Jae In, who received 45% of all the votes.

Moon Jae In marked an important turning point for South Korea after Park Geun Hye’s impeachment and his popularity has been growing rapidly since then.

This year, Moon Jae In supporters gave him the nickname “Inny” and Moon Jae In stamps were made, which were sold out in seconds.

WANNA ONE’s Kang Daniel took second place with 32% of the total votes.

2017 marked the birth of new rising star Kang Daniel, who stole all the ladies’ hearts when he appeared on Produce 101, Season 2.

His puppy-like smile and wide shoulders were more than enough to win the survival audition out of 101 trainees.

Comedian Kim Saeng Min placed third with 25% of the total votes.

Kim Saeng Min’s life completely changed when his program, Kim Saeng Min’s Receipt, launched on TV this year.

He created buzz with every word he said on the program, including “Stupid” and “Great”, which everyone started using after him.

Last but not least, IU was picked as a person of the year with 20% of total votes.

This year, IU was not only popular for her album “Palette”, but also for her appearance in Hyori’s Homestay.

The music IU played on the show as well as everything she wore and said became a trend that everyone followed.

She revealed her calm and lovely personality that she had never shown on TV before, making everyone fall in love with her again.
