Another Singer Arrested For Drugs Alongside Popular Idol Group Producer
Singer Chancellor has reportedly been arrested on drug possession charges. According to iZE on February 23, 2026 (local time), Chancellor was caught in the act early that morning at a hotel in Nagoya, Japan, on suspicion of violating Japan’s Narcotics Control Act.
Earlier that day, Japanese local media reported that former Dalmatian (also known as DMTN) member and girl group XG producer JAKOPS (also known as SIMON), along with three others, were arrested at a hotel in Aichi Prefecture for alleged violations of the same law.
Authorities reportedly discovered four packets of cocaine and one packet of marijuana in their hotel room. Police are currently investigating how the drugs were obtained and the circumstances surrounding the case.
JAKOPS founded the agency XGALX in 2018. The label is home to Chancellor, who is said to have been among those arrested alongside JAKOPS.
Meanwhile, Chancellor is a singer-songwriter and producer who graduated from Berklee College of Music. He married a flight attendant three years his junior in 2022 and announced the birth of their daughter last October.
