CNBLUE’s Jung Yonghwa Gets Assigned To The Special Forces

FNC Entertainment has confirmed his assignment to the 702nd Special Assault Regiment.

FNC Entertainment has just revealed that CNBLUE‘s Jung Yonghwa will be serving in the special forces for his military duties.

 

An official statement released by the agency has stated that Jung Yonghwa volunteered for the 702 Special Assault Regiment.

“Jung Yonghwa has completed his five weeks of basic military training with excellent scores, and has volunteered for the 2nd Corps of the 702nd Special Assault Regiment.” — FNC Entertainment

 

The 702nd Special Assault Regiment is located in the Hwacheon county of Gangwon province, and is also known as the “Phoenix Unit.” It was formed in 1982 as the first special forces unit in the country.

 

Jung Yonghwa enlisted for his military duties on March 5, 2018, and will complete his service on December 4, 2019.
