CORTIS’s New Song Lyrics Triggers Massive Backlash
On February 26, rookie boy group CORTIS revealed its new song, “YOUNGCREATORCREW,” from their upcoming album through Hancom’s typing practice service, Hancom Typing.
This collaboration is expected to offer a new experience to a new generation of fans unfamiliar with computer typing practice.

The song is about the contradictory emotions of wanting to introduce themselves as the “YOUNG CREATOR CREW,” while trying to break away from being confined to one word.

K-Netizens were disappointed in the lyrics and felt like it was made just for challenges and social media.

- “It sounds like it was made for dance challenges.”
- “I guess it was catered towards Gen Z…but it’s hard to understand for old people like me.”
- “I’ve never seen such horrible lyrics in my life.”
- “I am so flustered…these are actually the lyrics and not a joke? The standard of lyrics…”
- “I really don’t want to listen to it.”
- “It might get addicting if you listen to it on YouTube Shorts, but can you really call this a song? I don’t want to even label this as music.”
- “I can see why fans hate this song so much.”
- “It’s so funny LOL.”
- “How much lower are the standards for K-Pop going…I loved watching IU’s concert on TV recently as it used all Korean lyrics.”
