Recently, a video clip went viral of a Daiso employee begging on their knees in front of a rude customer. The clip garnered massive backlash online, as many felt that the employee had done nothing wrong.
Not long after, Daiso released an official statement regarding the situation.

“Hello, this is Daiso’s Customer Satisfaction Department.
Headquarters has already acknowledged the matter mentioned and is currently conducting a comprehensive store service inspection, as well as implementing an employee care program through our Employee Protection Department.
We promise to provide the affected employees with paid leave, professional psychological counseling, and, if necessary, job transfers. We also offer support for those seeking to file a criminal complaint. We are implementing company-wide protective measures as our top priority to protect the safety and dignity of our employees under all circumstances.
To maintain a mutually respectful environment for all customers and employees, we continually strengthen our operating procedures to protect employees in accordance with internal guidelines.
We also take customer feedback and suggestions seriously and are continuously working to improve them. Creating an environment that satisfies both customers and employees is crucial. We will actively work on incorporating the feedback provided to enhance future store operations.”
