Director Lee Suk Hoon, who has directed hit movies such as Confidential Assignment 2, Himalaya, The Pirates, and Dancing Queen, holds the rare distinction of having worked with both Son Ye Jin and Hyun Bin.
The movie director worked with Son Ye Jin on the movie, The Pirates (2014) and on Confidential Assignment 2 (2022).
On September 5, according to news outlet My Daily, the director was in attendance during the showing of his newest movie, Confidential Assignment 2. During the showing, the actor didn’t hold back praising Hyun Bin’s eye for detail.
This was my first time working with Hyun Bin. I tried to familiarize myself with how Hyun Bin likes to film and what he feels is important. I met with him personally, and we went over the scenario. I have come to realize how detailed he is as an actor. He’s incredibly precise in detail and accounts for every outcome in his preparation. He is the type of actor who insists on acting out action scenes himself.

The director spoke about working with both Son Ye Jin and Hyun Bin, who are top actors in Korea, stating through working with both of them, he believed they were great for each other.
Somehow I was lucky enough to have worked with the power couple. As someone who has worked with each of them on separate projects, I personally thought they would get along great with each other.

The director then provided insight into the differences between the actors.
Son Ye Jin is actually the one that lets things play out, while Hyun Bin is much more detail-oriented. That is why I think they would be great together. Although I didn’t receive any contact from Son Ye Jin during the filming of Confidential Assignment 2, I met her at the wedding and had other brief encounters. But I am curious to hear what kind of director Son Ye Jin told Hyun Bin I was, although I didn’t ask.
