ENHYPEN’s New Choreography Sparks Major Criticism
ENHYPEN‘s new choreography has triggered mass criticism because of member Jay, who has been suffering from an ongoing knee injury.
On July 12, ENHYPEN released their latest album and the music video for their song “XO.”
Like most K-Pop idols, ahead of the release, the group had a special media showcase to perform their track and chat about the album with members of the press.
During the showcase, news outlets posted photos of the choreography, and netizens immediately noticed a moment when Jay was on the floor, seemingly putting pressure on his knees. Considering that his recent injury that has been ongoing for some months has been related to his knee, it sparked major concern among netizens.
The choreography would have been worked on for months and edited, even close to the release date around the time of Jay’s injury worsening. It meant that fans were furious upon seeing the photos and how it seemed to have Jay doing choreography using his knees, which are still injured.

Jay mentioned he's undergone treatments for his knee, but I'm still concerned about them using their knees in the choreography. We appreciate your dedication and passion, Jay, but we also hope you'll take it easy and won’t push yourself too hard. 🥹 pic.twitter.com/GUffFnSetP
