EXID’s Hani and Jeonghwa Leave Banana Culture Entertainment

Hani and Jeonghwa have left.

In shocking news for LEGGO around the world, Banana Culture Entertainment has announced that EXID members Hani and Jeonghwa will be leaving the company following the expiration of their contracts at the end of May.

The company released an official statement, saying the other 3 members, Solji, LE, and Hyelin, have decided to sign a new contract with the agency, and confirmed EXID is not disbanding even though 2 members have left the agency.

Hello, this is Banana Culture Entertainment.

We are writing this to inform about our official position regarding EXID’s contract renewals.

Members Solji, LE, and Hyelin have signed a new contract with us based on their beliefs in the company and wanting to stay. Following in-depth discussions with the company, Hani and Jeonghwa will be finding new agencies for their own goals after the end of their exclusive contract in late May.

The 3 members who have renewed their contracts with us will be focusing on their personal activities for the time being. Solji and LE are preparing their future solo careers, Solji with her vocal skills and LE with her rap and producing skills. Hyerin is thinking about various different broadcasting and music activities, using her versatile charms and likeable image.

We realize EXID is a meaningful group for both the fans and the company, so we are not thinking about disbanding the group. The members are also preparing for a new challenge in the wake of the transition period, and do not consider it as a disbandment. They are also considering ways to be able to promote together as EXID in the future.

We will do our best to provide a stable bridge for Solji, LE, and Hyelin’s personal activities, and we promise to provide full support so the 3 members can continue to show more diverse activities.

Also, we would like to express our deepest gratitude to Hani and Jeonghwa, who have decided to leave our agency. Even though our contractual relationship will end, we will continue to sincerely cheer on their future careers.

Please support and encourage the five members of EXID who will be making their new beginnings. Thank you.
