EXO and TWICE top music sales on Gaon’s Annual Chart

EXO and TWICE  are staking their claims as K-Pop’s King and Queens of music sales.

The popular idol groups EXO and TWICE have once again proven themselves to be monster idol groups as they have made it to the top of Gaon‘s Annual Top Physical and Digital sales charts.

In total, EXO received over one million sales for their latest full album EX’ACT, while they also totaled over one million sales each on their previous two albums. EXO has claimed for the title of Physical Kings in reference to their high album sales over the course of the past several years.

Despite having only debuted a little over a year ago, TWICE has already earned the title of K-Pop’s Digital Queens.  TWICE has totaled over two million downloads for the mini-album Page Two, as well as another million downloads for their most recent mini-album TWICEcoaster: Lane 1. All three mini-albums released by the group has received over one million downloads each.

The group has received over 272 million streams between all three albums, proving that they are in fact on top when it comes to digital performance. Since their debut, the idol group has been very successful as they have already won several “Song of the Year” Daesang awards for their mega-hit “Cheer Up.”
