Fact Check: Are KISS OF LIFE Releasing A Diss Track About Their Racism Controversy?
Earlier in the year, KISS OF LIFE earned massive criticism for cultural appropriation during a live broadcast.

As a result, the group has seen multiple consequences, including a decrease in social media followers, and the scandal is the alleged reason for their appearance at KCON LA 2025 being canceled.
The group initially apologized through the company before releasing a handwritten letter. On May 31, Julie went live and apologized again, this time directly mentioning the affected communities, though it was met with mixed reactions.

The group have been a topic of discussion, not only because of the controversy, but because of the upcoming release of their new album.
Recently, the group shared a preview of an upcoming track, which has since gone viral on X and was accused of being a “diss track.”

But is this actually the case?
The track in question was included in the full preview of all of the album’s songs and is titled “kbye.” The lyrics can at first seem to be something that would be found in a “diss track” but listening closely, the final line points to it being something different.

You don’t like me, that’s fine
You don’t like me, k bye
You don’t like me, then why
Do you wish we then why do you wish we were making love
in your mind all the time?— alleged lyrics in new KISS OF LIFE song previewed above
Additionally, Julie spoke about the album stating that “kbye” was “dedicated to all the exes that broke our hearts.”
Yall wanna cancel them over anything atp😭 Why we acting like we didn’t hear “then why do you wish we were making love in your mind all the time?” The song’s clearly about exes, Julie explained it herself

So, while the group releasing the track might be “bad timing,” it is not a “diss track” directed towards those that had negative reactions to their recent scandal.
