Famous Korean Actress Has Reportedly Been In A Coma For The Past 7 Years
Veteran actress Lee Su Na, known for her iconic role in the popular Korean sitcom High Kick!, has been reported to be in a coma.
On September 18, in an episode of tvN STORY‘s The Village President’s People, veteran actors Kim Hye Ja and Choi Bool Am reunited with the show’s hosts and reminisced about their time working together. They acted together in MBC‘s long-running show Country Diaries, which ran from 1980 to 2002.
While talking about the actors who appeared in Country Diaries, actress Kim Soo Mi, who was also in Country Diaries, mentioned Lee Su Na. She shared that Lee Su Na collapsed at home several years ago and was found too late. Since then, she has been in a coma.

We had a glass of beer. Then we said goodbye. Two days later, I heard she went to the hospital. I thought she had collapsed due to fatigue.

Kim Hye Ja expressed her sadness, saying, “She was such a spirited person. Life is so unpredictable.”
Lee Su Na is known to have collapsed due to a cerebral hemorrhage in 2016, leading to her hospitalization in the intensive care unit. There have been reports about her being in a coma or showing signs of improvement since then.
Actor Shin Chung Sik, who played Lee Su Na’s husband in Country Diaries, said in an earlier episode of The Village President’s People that he couldn’t get in touch with the actress. His inability to reach her made him believe she cut off communication with everyone.
When I went to the hospital, I met a hospital staff member who said, ‘I am Lee Su Na’s sister.’ I asked how to contact her, but it was impossible. It seemed like she completely cut off communication with everyone.

Lee Su Na gained much love for her role in Country Diaries, and later in her career, she gained attention for her roles in the sitcoms Hello Franceska and High Kick!
