Fans Call Out Pledis For Always Filming TWS With The Same Unit Pairs For Group Content

We need some variety!

Recently, an online community post gained much attention for fans’ complaints regarding the original content formatting of rookie idol group TWS. The post gathered various comments from the group’s YouTube content, showing that fans agreed that more variety should be needed instead of showing the same member unit pairs.

I’m so tired of the same member unit videos. They seem to post way more Shinyu and Kyungmin unit videos. Even if fans want to see a wider variety of pairs with different members, they can’t. Why don’t you just have them film content altogether? Unit groups are only fun if they have some variety.

Fans couldn’t understand why the company continued to film content with the same pairs, and were truly bored of the same pattern.

How can someone eat the same food everyday? We’re so full of seeing the same pairs Shinyu and Kyungmin, Dohoon and Hanjin, and Youngjae and Jihoon. Come on give us some variety, Pledis.

Every time I see videos of the same unit pairs filming something, I can’t help but sigh. Is TWS a group that must film in pairs? Last time, they had only one member chosen by the company to write on the rolling paper during the live broadcast. Is TWS a duo group? There are only five videos of original content with all six members. Why is everything filmed in pairs? We want to see OT6!

Some posted a list of requests they wanted Pledis to adhere to when making original content.

Things we request from Pledis right now:

1. Original content that are longer than 30 minutes like other idols

2. A variety of different unit pairs instead of the usual pairing.

3. Posting the recording behind reaction videos faster (Please post the next one during the actual comeback week)

4. No more dorm original content or big events. Just post daily content of the members having fun

5. Post reels or cover songs or dance during hiatus. This is their first break after debut, please use this time wisely.

They felt that the agency needed to be quicker about releasing content as time is of the essence, especially for a new group that is currently gaining traction and new fans.

The speed at which this original content is being posted is so annoying. I don’t get why you are posting this now. Shouldn’t this have been posted sooner? I also don’t understand why it’s being sent after the trip. And why are you putting them in the same unit pairs over and over again? This unit system is so dull, and we want to see more variety. Just let the six members do something together. This is essential as much attention is now geared towards the group. Isn’t it necessary to match the speed of the new fans? It’s probably hard to do because you’re only doing it now. Please try to listen to the suggestions of the fans.

Netizens that saw the post agreed with the fans’ suggestions on changing the way they filmed original content.

  • “Is it really always the same unit pairs?
  • “Agencies always seem to do the same fixed unit pairs when they debut. My bias group had the same pattern when they first debuted.”
  • “How bad is it…but if they keep doing fixed pairs it’s not going to do them any good.”
  • “Shouldn’t the agency be doing a variety of different units. There’s no reason to consistently use the same pairs.”
  • “I understand doing pairs for photo shoots or big agencies, but doing this even for original content is a bit too much.”
  • “Are fans angry about them doing the unit pairs or they mad about the same pairs being put together?” “They are mad about the same pairs.”

What are your thoughts on this? Should the agency step up and make changes to their current system for original content?
