Eagle-eyed netizens have seemingly pointed out a huge spoiler of the fate of a popular character in Squid Game.
Season 2 of Squid Game continued the gripping story of Seong Gi Hun (Lee Jung Jae), picking up right where the first season left off. The intense cliffhanger created new conflicts and introduced fresh characters, but the season received mixed reviews.
Nonetheless, it ended on a cliffhanger that many have waited in anticipation of being resolved.
Squid Game 3 is actually the second part of the second season and is scheduled to begin streaming on June 27, 2025. Ahead of the release, Netflix has shared a trailer, building excitement.
Many of the final faces from Squid Game 2‘s final episode were spotted in the episode, which seemed to show the group being divided. New looks were also given at the VIPs as well as hints towards the next games that will be played.
However, one scene showed stood out to many fans of the show.
A man is shown to be scanned by one of the masked workers, though most of his face is not revealed.
Many believe this to be Park Gyeong Seok, Player 246, based on the scruff shown in the image matching his. The final episode of the second season left his fate up in the air, after he was shot during the revolt by the competitors.
Fans have reacted strongly, hopeful his story will continue and be resolved in a happy way.
