She personally spoke up.

Lee Hi has personally spoken up about her contract situation.

It was reported earlier that Lee Hi had signed a contract with the label MAKEUS Entertainment, which is home to artists such as Sunmi and Urban Zakapa.

A few hours later, however, MAKEUS Entertainment released a statement revealing that they’re still in talks with Lee Hi about a possible contract, but the conversations have been positive.

Lee Hi then uploaded a post via her Instagram, revealing that she had not signed a contract with any company yet. She also revealed that she had been shocked by the reports, and asked fans to believe in her and trust her while she makes the decision best for her.

Hi everyone, it’s Lee Hi.

I am currently still debating which company to join and have spent the whole month of January holding meetings with various companies. I’m a bit shocked at all the news that has come out regarding this even though I have not confirmed anything yet. I am currently negotiating with several companies and will be making a decision in the near future.

I hope that after I make my decision that I can be the first one to let everyone know. I will try my best to make a decision and bring everyone good news.

I hope that everyone can wait a bit longer and trust me before speculating things.

Thank you.

—Lee Hi
