“Following Seungri” — Claims Of BTS V’s Private Account Go Viral

The idol is facing criticism over several issues.

In December 2021, the members of BTS all joined Instagram on the same day. In particular, BTS‘s V broke several records with his account’s creation, which currently has 69 million followers and makes him the most followed Korean male celebrity.

Recently, however, viral claims about an alleged private account have gone wildly viral online.

An account quoting a negative tweet about the idol attached a screenshot from another account, claiming that it was V’s. The account @tebrov is seemingly shown to follow former BIGBANG member and convicted criminal Seungri.

The @tebrov account was first brought up in 2021, when V was involved in dating rumors with Joanna Chun, the daughter of Paradise Group president Phillip Jeon. Joanna reportedly followed the @tebrov account, fueling beliefs that it was V’s account.

The account name was also linked to the idol, with “tebro” supposedly standing for Taehyung, and V for his stage name.

The account was connected with some of V’s activities on Weverse as “proof.”

However, the initial rumors of the idol dating Joanna were spread by the now imfamous Sojang, who is currently facing legal action from multiple idols over defamation.

At the time, many were convinced that it was either Sojang or anti-fans who attempted to pin the account on V, which was also brought up with the recent allegation.
