Former ADOR CEO Min Hee Jin Accused Of Manipulating Evidence Submitted To Court
Former ADOR CEO Min Hee Jin, currently in a legal dispute with HYBE over the execution of a ₩26.0 billion KRW (about $18.7 million USD) put option, is facing new controversy after allegations surfaced that she submitted “suspiciously fabricated KakaoTalk conversations” as evidence to the court.
The incident unfolded during a trial at the Seoul Central District Court on the 11th, where HYBE presented what it claims is an “alternate version” of the KakaoTalk records Min had already submitted. According to legal sources on September 14, 2025, HYBE argued that the so-called “original” chat logs it provided to the court contained lines absent in Min’s prior submission, raising suspicions of “editing attempts.”
In the version HYBE submitted, Min appears to instruct a then-ADOR executive she was conversing with: “I’m going to capture this (chat), write it well,” “Now it’s time to act, go again,” and “Erase it and rewrite, cut (CUT), up to here.” The timestamps of these lines were also mentioned during the hearing. HYBE claimed that in Min’s original screenshots filed with the court, the very first line already included “I’m going to capture this, write it well.”
The disputed chat also contained allegations by a former ADOR executive that they had been persistently “harassed” by HYBE higher-ups. Min submitted this KakaoTalk evidence to the court, claiming it proved not only HYBE’s pressure on her and her aides but also the circumstances that led to her stepping down as ADOR’s CEO in January last year — right before the conflict between the two sides became public.
The ongoing trial consolidates two lawsuits: one filed by Min and two others against HYBE to enforce the put option (share purchase claim) and demand stock transaction payments, and another filed by HYBE against Min and others seeking confirmation of termination of the shareholders’ agreement.
