Former K-Pop Group Member Confirms He Is Still In Contact With Ex-Groupmates After Departure

Fans are thrilled.

When groups disband or members leave, usually, fans will rarely have the chance to see them back together. This is even more true with the latter, as members who have departed under less than ideal circumstances will often avoid contact to avoid “harming” the group’s image.

T.O.P Addresses His Current Relationship With BIGBANG Members

Recently, a boy group member drew attention by sharing that he is still on good terms with his former groupmates.

In 2012, Cube Entertainment debuted a seven-member boy group called BTOB.

The group grew in popularity over the years, maintaining a steady fanbase and making a Japanese debut. The group’s activities slowed as members began their military enlistments, but many were left shocked when member Ilhoon was accused of marijuana usage from 2016 to 2019.

Ultimately, Ilhoon was sentenced to a two-year suspended sentence and left the group on December 21, 2020.

Since then, Ilhoon has completed his military service and returned gradually to the limelight, releasing digital singles in 2024 and a full-length album in 2025.

One thing fans wondered was whether the idol was in contact with his former groupmates, with hints on both sides. During one of his regular live streams, a fan asked about current member Peniel’s birthday, to which Ilhoon responded that he celebrated it with him.

Many were thrilled by the direct confirmation, and glad to see that the seven of them were still on good terms!

BTOB are scheduled to make a comeback on March 21 with a digital single, and some are hopeful Ilhoon will be involved.
