One contestant who gained attention was Chinese contestant Fu Yaning. In particular, her “diss” to Kep1er’s Yujin received a lot of heat when the show was airing.

Although Yaning hit back at the criticism, explaining that it was all because of Mnet’s editing, she has come under fire again.

Recently, Fu Yaning shared some photos of herself on Instagram.

Along with the photos of Fu Yaning, netizens were surprised to see a picture with writing that read, “I have a girlfriend.” In particular, it caused a lot of backlash after netizens put it together with the caption of the post.

In the caption, Fu Yaning explained that while she was at a coffee shop, someone had “hit” on her but she rejected them using that line.

Someone hit on me at the cafe, and I rejected with, “I have a girlfriend.” It’s good to change my sexual orientation sometimes haha.

When the post was shared online, it immediately attracted criticism from fans about how easily Fu Yaning was speaking about “changing sexual orientation.”

In particular, netizens pointed out how she was “trivializing” sexual orientation and using it for her own “advantage” when it is something that is still frowned upon in many countries, including those in Asia.

Many netizens want Fu Yaning to delete the post as they believe she has trivialized sexuality.
