On April 29, a press conference was held in Seoul regarding the sexual assault charges filed against 143 Entertainment’s CEO Lee Yong Hak.
Former MADEIN Gaeun’s mother, lawyer Moon Hyo Jeong, former 143 Entertainment’s A&R team leader, and others attended the press conference.
During the conference, Gaeun’s mother confessed that she had told her daughter to push through and reach her goals.
I told my daughter she had to endure to reach her goals because that was how social life worked. I always just told her that she started it because you wanted to. I would just follow without expressing my opinion because I was afraid my child would be harmed. I would console her, saying, ‘I love you like my own daughter.’ But she suffered as she was being watched while being locked in the dorm every day.

She also expressed regret in not listening to her daughter’s signals.
The physical contact that started lightly became burdensome after graduating from high school. Gaeun clearly stated ‘Stop touching my body now,but CEO Lee Yong Hak ignored her and continued to mistreat her. That’s when the incident happened. When I heard what happened to her, I felt like a sinner. The child sent me distress signals a few times, but I didn’t listen. As a result of ignoring her, something unimaginable happened to the child.

Meanwhile, JTBC’s Crime Chief reported on a member of a multinational group who was allegedly sexually assaulted by the agency CEO.
Afterward, netizens claimed that the member was MADEIN’s Gaeun based on the information released. While the agency denied the claims, Gaeun halted activities for health reasons.
According to the recordings revealed on the show, the victim expressed her wish to continue activities. The CEO responded, “If your wish is granted, will you grant mine? My wish is for you to be my girlfriend for a day.”
Meanwhile, 143 Entertainment has stated that the allegations are groundless and has withdrawn her from the team.
