In July, the 27-year-old singer and actor invited a non-celebrity woman, identified as A, into his house. He had allegedly met her through social media, and after communicating online, they met in person for the first time on July 30. They met somewhere in Seoul and then went to Hwarang’s house.

It was reported that when the woman fell asleep after drinking alcohol, he allegedly undressed her without consent and illegally filmed her.

The victim stated through a criminal complaint that she had woken up while he filmed her and asked him to stop.

I drank more than my limit at Hwarang’s house and fell asleep. Then I woke up to the camera light and the sound of the video recording, and Hwarang was filming my naked body… Despite being disoriented from the alcohol, I was frightened and waved my hand around and told him not to film. I was afraid that Hwarang might distribute the video.

Following the incident, A experienced severe anxiety, making daily life difficult. She decided to press charges after experiencing symptoms of heart pounding whenever she saw camera lights.

After the incident, A tried to contact Hwarang, but he allegedly changed his number and responded through social media, threatening to report her as a stalker.

Despite being cast in a recent web drama, the scenes involving Hwarang have been edited out. Promotional videos featuring him have also been made private. Hwarang’s social media accounts are currently private, and the agency is reportedly unreachable.
