(G)I-DLE Set New Personal Best Records With Their Summertime Single “DUMDi DUMDi”
Coming back on August 3 with their refreshing, energetic, and fun summertime single DUMDi DUMDi, (G)I-DLE has made a huge splash on the charts and more during their first week.
After releasing the new bop, (G)I-DLE immediately dominated the charts both domestically and internationally. “DUMDi DUMDi” snagged top spots on several Korean streaming sites like Bugs, Naver Music, and Genie. Additionally, the track also took no. 1 on the iTunes‘ Top Songs Chart in 47 regions around the world!
What’s more, according to Hanteo chart data, the single recorded first-week sales of 94,587 copies which means that it’s now (G)I-DLE’s second-highest first-week sales out of all of their albums. (G)I-DLE’s mini-album I Trust currently holds the highest first-week sales record with 112,000 copies sold in the first week.
Additionally, by 8 PM KST on August 9, just 6 days after release, the MV for “DUMDi DUMDi” reached 50 million views. This achievement was gained nearly 9 hours faster than their previous hit “Oh My God”, which meant that (G)I-DLE set a new personal best record!
With (G)I-DLE setting new records and taking over the charts, they’re once again proving just how powerful they truly are!
