(G)I-DLE’s Yuqi Gains Attention For Her Reaction To Her K-Pop Bias Getting Married
(G)I-DLE‘s Yuqi might be a superstar in her own right, but that doesn’t mean she’s not a fangirl.
The idol has been open about her love for Super Junior in the past and that her bias is Ryeowook.
It was recently announced that Ryeowook would be getting married to his girlfriend, former TAHITI member Ari. In a heartwarming letter, he made the announcement, and it wasn’t surprising as the bond between the two had been known for a long time.

Of course, Ryeowook is Yuqi’s bias in Super Junior, so it wasn’t surprising that a fresh round of fan calls had netizens curious about her reaction to the news.
During one of Yuqi’s calls, the fan asked, “Your idol, Ryeowook sunbaenim, is getting married. Have you heard? In May.”
Of course, Yuqi had but it seems like she found out through fellow member Soyeon as the news came out during her schedules.
You know, I didn’t even find this out on my own. I was filming ‘Running Man’ at the time, so I wasn’t checking my phone. Then suddenly Soyeon sent me a message and said, ‘Ryeowook is getting married.’

It wasn’t surprising that Yuqi was taken back at first, but when Soyeon kept teasing her, the idol explained that there was no reason for her to “cry.”
I was like, ‘Huh?’ She was the one who told me. She kept making fun of me and telling me not to cry. I was like, ‘Why should I cry?’ I wish him all the best. It’s a good thing.

When the video was shared, netizens loved how supportive Yuqi was of Ryeowook’s dating news, even adding that it should be the way all fans react when they hear about their bias’s personal lives.
