Recently, SM Entertainment has become a hot topic concerning the issues of shares. Earlier in the year, it was revealed that Kakao had bought stocks in the company, and after founder Lee Soo Man criticized the decision, HYBE then bought shares, which the employees or directors didn’t support.

On March 12 (KST), it was revealed Kakao would acquire SM Entertainment by becoming its largest shareholder and that HYBE was dropping plans to work with the company.

Like the rest of Girls’ Generation, Taeyeon has been with the company for over 10 years and released music with the group and as a soloist.

So, considering everything happening, it’s not surprising that Taeyeon has seemingly made reference to the situation on social media.

Taeyeon recently shared a story on her Instagram and it was a scene from the hit series The Glory. In one scene, the bully Yeon Jin resigns from her job, and the letter she gives just says, “Park Yeon Jin’s letter of resignation.”

In her story, Taeyeon reposted it but changed the name, so it read, “Kim Taeyeon’s letter of resignation.”

Yet, if the first post had fans curious, Taeyeon’s recent post gained an equal amount of attention. On March 16, the idol shared a quote on her story, and it seems linked to her “resignation letter,” speaking about change and how things don’t last forever.

Everything changes. Thoughts. Feelings. People. Everything that you thought would be forever, changes in the end.

When the posts were shared, netizens shared their mixed reactions to the images. While some found it hilarious that Taeyeon used a “The Glory” reference, others worried that it could mean the veteran idol was ready to leave SM Entertainment.

A lot of SM artists haven’t been afraid to discuss the situation at SM Entertainment, whether more light-heartedly or seriously addressing the issues. While many fans hope that the issues between SM Entertainment and Kakao will be sorted out soon, it wouldn’t be surprising if the situation impacted the idols.
