Bullying Allegations Emerge As New K-Drama’s Popularity Rises
A new K-Drama is quickly becoming a fan favorite, but new allegations threaten to overshadow its rise.

Opposites attract in Tastefully Yours, an ENA K-Drama set in the culinary world. Starring Kang Ha Neul as Han Beom Woo and Go Min Si as Mo Yeon Joo, this show follows the heir to a food company, who, despite his role, isn’t much of a foodie, and a cook who is passionate about cooking.

Since its premiere on May 12, Tastefully Yours has been increasing its viewership rating with each new episode. According to Nielsen Korea, Episode 4, which aired on May 20, set a new record for the series by achieving a nationwide rating of 3.1% and a metropolitan rating of 2.9%.

Recently, some viewers expressed their disappointment after Yoo Yeon Seok made a cameo in the show, due to his past misogyny controversy. Now, allegations of school bullying have been made against the lead actress.

A post titled “We are the victims of actress Go ○○’s school bullying” went viral on DC Inside, a prominent and anonymous Korean forum. The post’s author, who claimed to be Go Min Si’s former middle school classmate, accused her of violent behavior, and more.

Though Go Min Si’s agency, Mystic Story, has denied the allegations after speaking to the actress, it is unclear if or how the allegations could affect Tastefully Yours‘ future viewership ratings or its popularity.
