“Good Day” Edits Out Scene Imitating Wheesung After His Death, Remains Silent About Guest Kim Soo Hyun Amid Controversy

MBC’s variety show Good Day has removed a scene featuring comedian Jo Se Ho mimicking the late singer Wheesung’s vocal style following the artist’s unexpected passing. Meanwhile, Korean outlets have highlighted that the show has yet to address the growing controversy surrounding guest Kim Soo Hyun and his rumored past relationship with the late Kim Sae Ron.
On March 12, the production team of Good Day confirmed that Jo Se Ho’s imitation of Wheesung would not be included in the upcoming fifth episode. They explained that the scene had originally appeared in a preview released before Wheesung’s passing, but out of respect for the singer, it was ultimately removed from both the preview and the full episode.
The preview featuring this scene was released before the news of Wheesung’s passing was made public. However, upon learning of the tragedy, we decided to edit out the scene from the preview and remove it from the full broadcast as well.

The MBC show, led by G-Dragon as a producer, brings together notable figures from various industries to create a song that encapsulates the year. However, the recent developments have overshadowed the program’s usual focus on music.
While they acted quickly regarding the Wheesung clip, Good Day and MBC have remained silent regarding resurfaced allegations involving Kim Soo Hyun, who famously attended their latest episode as a guest alongside other 88-liners.

According to a recent report from Maeil Kyungjae, Kim Soo Hyun will allegedly skip the next filming session for Good Day, which is planned for March 13. The report doesn’t clarify whether he will be edited out of the broadcast or withdraw from the lineup. Regardless, MBC and Good Day have remained silent and not commented on Maeil Kyungjae’s report either.

Kim Soo Hyun is currently under severe backlash after a recent broadcast by YouTube channel Garo Sero Institute claimed that Kim had been in a relationship with Kim Sae Ron for six years, starting when she was still a minor. The same report alleged that her former agency had demanded a hefty penalty fee from the actress after her past DUI incident.
Since then, Garo Sero Institute has revealed additional proof of their relationship, while Kim Soo Hyun’s agency continues to deny all accusations.
