GOT7's Jackson Wang Praised For Postponing Concert For Unexpected Reason

GOT7‘s Jackson Wang is currently on his 2023-2024 MAGIC MAN WORLD TOUR, but he had to cancel his latest stop.

Jackson recently postponed the Beijing stop of his tour via Weibo. It was explained that it was canceled due to health reasons, and they plan to reschedule the date.

Due to Mr Jackson Wang’s health reasons, based on consideration of the quality of the performance and other factors, and our wish to present the best quality performance, the Jackson Wang “MAGIC MAN WORLD TOUR 2023 – 2024” Beijing stop originally scheduled for 2 Dec at HUAXI LIVE·WUKESONG is postponed. We shall announce the new date as soon as possible.

Yet, Jackson also offered to compensate any travel costs for those fans who were traveling to attend the concert. This includes train, airfare, etc.

To the audience that have traveled to Beijing from other places to watch the performance, we shall compensate the losses incurred from the postponement of the performance. Please provide documentation of expenses that match the name of the ticket holder! We express our apologies for the inconvenience caused.

If you would like to request for compensation, please provide the relevant documentation according to the following information:
(1) Explanation of the compensation:
(a) Types of expenses to be applicable for compensation: Airplane ticket, and train ticket (limited to 1-3 Dec 2023), hotel accommodations in Beijing (limited to 1-2 Dec 2023). Compensation is only limited to train ticket, airplane ticket and hotel accommodations in Beijing, and does not include any external expenses such as food, entertainment and taxi fares.
(b) Limits to compensation of expenses: Train tickets will be compensated in full. Domestic airplane ticket not more than 2000 rmb per person per trip; international airplane ticket not more than 5000 rmb per person per trip. Hotel accommodations in Beijing not more than 800 rmb per person per night.

Netizens were shocked by Jackson’s generosity. Although many artists have had to cancel shows for unavoidable reasons, it is incredibly rare for artists to compensate for fans’ travel expenses they spent to see the now-canceled concerts.
