GOT7’s Jinyoung Shows His Support For BLACKPINK’s Jisoo And NCT 127’s Doyoung, And Fans Are Wondering If A JinJiDo Reunion Is In The Works

Will our hopes for a JinJiDo reunion finally come true?

BLACKPINK just released “Shut Down” and their full album BORN PINK today, and one of the many people showing their support was none other than GOT7‘s Jinyoung. He specifically gave a shoutout to Jisoo, his former co-host for Inkigayo.

He also gave a shoutout to NCT 127‘s Doyoung for his latest comeback with his group, “2 Baddies.” Doyoung was also his co-host when Jinyoung, Jisoo, and Doyoung MC-ed for Inkigayo together in 2017.

It didn’t take long for Doyoung to respond to Jinyoung’s support, sending his love and calling Jinyoung “Park Nyeong Gwi.” For those who don’t know, Nyeong Gwi was the nickname Doyoung and Jisoo often used to refer to Jinyoung when they were Inkigayo hosts together.

Fans from all fandoms are freaking out over this reunion, and it’s no surprise. JinJiDo were beloved by everyone during their times as MCs, and fans often find themselves rewatching the three together thanks to their seamless chemistry.

Beyond being former co-workers, Jinyoung, Jisoo, and Doyoung are close friends, allowing themselves to tease each other and have fun, and they’re constantly hyping each other up during comebacks. There was a time when Jinyoung revealed his group chat with the other two, back when BLACKPINK and NCT 127 were promoting around the same time (“As IF IT’S YOUR LAST” and “Cherry Bomb” were both released in June 2017). Their interactions are proof of their close friendship, and their group chat continues to stay active to this day.

Just a couple of weeks ago, Jisoo mentioned JinJiDo in her Weverse Live, saying that their friendship was still going strong.

She even mentioned in a recent interview that she had been watching Yumi’s Cells. While her love started from the webtoons, Jisoo diligently watched both seasons and every episode, and Jinyoung was the male lead during Yumi’s Cells 2. There’s no doubt that Jisoo was actively exchanging texts with Jinyoung at the time, whether as a supportive friend, invested Yumi’s Cells’ fan, or a fellow actor.

We all miss JinJiDo’s chaotic and genuine relationship, and with all the recent interactions between the three (especially since it’s so out of nowhere), fans can’t help but suspect a JinJiDo reunion. While we’ll have to wait to see if our predictions come true, for now, everyone is rewatching JinJiDo’s Inkigayo days and celebrating their lasting friendship.
