Halsey Weighs In On BTS’s GRAMMY Nomination Snub

She commented on the nomination results, and more.

American singer-songwriter Halsey, BTS‘s friend and collaborator, has shared her thoughts about the 2020 GRAMMY nominations announcement.

On November 20, fans eagerly tuned in to hear which artists would be nominated for the 62nd Annual GRAMMY Awards. BTS was entered to be nominated in multiple categories, including “Song of the Year” for “Boy With Luv” (feat. Halsey), but they were, unfortunately, not chosen for nomination.

Given BTS’s unprecedented global success and high-quality music, some fans and critics consider BTS’s lack of nomination a snub. Even so, ARMY is striving to stay positive by focusing on BTS’s achievements and trending supportive hashtags like #ThisIsBTS.

Initially, Halsey expressed frustration after receiving criticism from netizens and finding out that the “biggest song” of her career hadn’t been nominated. This tweet has since been deleted, and Halsey has decided to focus on positivity instead.

Halsey congratulated 2020’s nominees, and she is asking her fans not to waste their anger or frustration.

As for BTS, Halsey said that they “deserved many nominations”, but she was unsurprised by the turn of events. “The US is so far behind the whole movement,” she wrote.
