While both radio station BAYERN 3 and radio host Matthias Matuschik have issued a statement of apology, their words and lacklustre response were not enough. There has been an outpouring of support and solidarity from K-Pop fans and non-fans alike, raising more awareness to the specific situation and racism in general.

Now, Western artists have caught wind of the situation and are speaking out and showing their support for BTS and the Asian community.

Both MAX and Lauv spoke out on Twitter, while Halsey, who has a close friendship with BTS, spoke her mind on her Instagram Story.

Netizens are enraged with the insincerity of BAYERN 3 and Matthias’s statements, and continue to call them out for their inexcusable actions. Meanwhile, the combined voices of people around the globe asking for a better apology and more respect is growing ever louder.
