A man in his thirties has been arrested after stabbing his wife, an actress, and attempting suicide.
Seoul’s Yong-San Police station stated that on the morning of June 14, the man was arrested on charges of attempted murder.
According to reports, the man stabbed his wife with a weapon in the lobby of their Itaewon residence. The man then turned the weapon on himself and attempted suicide.
Both the man and the victim were transported to a local hospital for treatment. It is said that the wounds are not life-threatening.
According to the police, the husband and wife were at the time living separately. It is reported the husband had bought the weapon and then attacked his wife with it.
The police stated they would further investigate once the man recovered.
