On December 3, Korea took on European football heavyweight Portugal in their final match in the group stages of the 2022 Qatar World Cup. Korea would need to defeat Portugal if they were to advance.

The game was tied 1-1 when in the 91 minute, Son Heung Min received the box from a missed Portugal set piece. The Tottenham star would take the ball down the pitch before beautifully passing it to Hwang Hee Chan to score Korea’s go-ahead goal.

Hwang Hee Chan, who is currently playing for the Wolverhampton Wanderers FC (also known as Wolves) in the English Premier League, has struggled to find his form of late due to injury problems. Many questioned whether he would be able to play in the World Cup at all.

Hwang Hee Chan shut up his naysayers with an incredible goal. To celebrate, the footballer didn’t think twice about taking his shirt off. Some fans, however, were perplexed to see Hwang wearing what looked like a bra top.

The bra top in question, turns out, is worn by almost all footballers and is an apparatus to hold a GPS device. The device counts all the steps a player has taken during the game, as well as other vital information that is then tracked by the coaching staff to better analyze the player’s performance and recovery needs.

Korea will be taking on Brazil in the round of 16. Korean fans are hoping there will be another reason to celebrate as they take on the tournament’s favorite on December 6.
